Nominations for AlumKnight of the Year and Special Awards are Open

In anticipation of Mount Carmel School’s “Night with the Knights” gala on Saturday, February 04, 2023, Mount Carmel School is accepting nominations for the special awards that will be announced during the event. This year’s event is special as it is dedicated to also celebrating seventy years of the school’s commitment to faith, service, tradition, and excellence. 

The “Night with the Knights” is the AlumKnight Association’s annual event aimed to help raise funds for Mount Carmel School. Additionally, the “Night with the Knights” is part of Mount Carmel School’s Catholic Schools Week celebration dedicated to ‘Celebrating Our Alumni.’ 

Since 1998, Mount Carmel School has granted special awards to individuals and AlumKnights who have distinguished themselves as leaders in business, government, and the community and who represent the schoolʼs trademark values of faith, excellence, and success. The 2023 AlumKnight of the Year will be recognized, along with the AlumKnight Class of the Year, Parent of the Year, Legacy Teacher of the Year, and the Millenial Falcon of the Year at the annual “Night with the Knights” fundraising banquet. This event is also the final event of the school’s Catholic Schools Week celebration. 

All members of the community are invited to submit nominations for the awards mentioned. The school’s selection panel will screen nominees, review nominations, and select the awardees. The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 20, 2023. Nomination guidelines are available at https://www.mountcarmelsaipan.com/a-night-with-the-knights. Nomination submissions can be submitted at the Mount Carmel School business office or emailed to businessmanager@mcsknights.com. 

School president Frances T. Taimanao said the “Night with the Knights” is a special occasion where the school has the opportunity to gather and recognize the great works of its AlumKnights.

1990 AlumKnight and association member John S. Blanco added, “While the event celebrates AlumKnights, we invite all community members to celebrate with us. Individuals who have attended Mount Carmel School, but did not graduate are still Knights. As our saying goes, ‘once a Knight, always a Knight.”
